The Opportunity

As a key member of the Resource Development department’s Corporate Philanthropy team, you will help raise Pathways Canada’s profile with corporate partners and contribute to the fundraising efforts that will enable the delivery of the Pathways Program to thousands of students across the country. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Philanthropy, you will be involved in the development and execution of best-in-class corporate partnerships by building strong and impactful relationships with corporations and supporting the alignment of corporate community investment objectives with Pathways’ mission.

As the successful candidate, you are an experienced relationship manager and partnership-builder with strong communication skills. You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues and leveraging internal expertise to develop, maintain, and enhance positive relationships with Pathways’ corporate partners. You are a creative thinker with demonstrated success in securing and stewarding corporate partnerships up to the six-figure funding level, and have a passion for achieving fundraising goals to create positive social impact for young people across Canada.


What You’ll Do

  • Support the Corporate Philanthropy team with the cultivation of new corporate funders through the development and delivery of productive donor meetings, presentations, and resources that align corporate funder interests and objectives with the Pathways mission and existing partnership benefits.
  • Lead the seamless administration of corporate donor commitments, including drafting gift agreements and ensuring efficient and timely gift processing.
  • Work with the Corporate Donor Managers to manage relationships with committed corporate partners, acting as the lead for partnership recognition, stewardship, engagement, and other deliverables.
  • Execute agreement commitments and donor requests, including communications and marketing initiatives, events and presentations, employee campaigns, and other engagements.
  • Collaborate with departments and teams across Pathways Canada to identify and coordinate opportunities to build and enhance partnerships through marketing and communications, engagement, events, thought leadership, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of enhanced cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship processes for the Corporate Philanthropy team, leading to best-in-class partnership development and delivery.


What You Bring

  • Experience in fundraising or a related area (e.g., corporate social responsibility, cause marketing/sponsorships, or account management).
  • Experience with corporate account management, corporate appeals, and/or other fundraising or business development solicitations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to provide information in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to communicate at all levels with confidence.
  • Ability to think strategically, work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities in a high-volume and results-oriented environment.
  • A positive outlook and a commitment to teamwork, contributing to a culture of professionalism, openness, and communication.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interest in making an impact by working in a non-profit, education-related charity.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge/RENXT and/or Adobe InDesign is considered an asset.
