The Opportunity

As a key member of the Resource Development team, you will help with the continuous development and management of the Class Champions (CC) donor program, which collectively supports an entire cohort of students from the first day of high school until graduation. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will administer all related operations, stewardship activities, and deliverables to develop strong relationships with supporters of the CC program.

As the successful candidate, you bring demonstrated experience in the fundraising sector and understand basic fundraising operations and corporate philanthropy principles. You are skilled at building meaningful relationships with donors, proactive, and want to bring forth creative ideas to enhance the CC program and the overall donor experience, ensuring sustainable support for young people across Canada through the entirety of their high school journey.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in executing strategies to engage, retain, and steward individuals in the CC program, ensuring timely pledge payments that contribute to revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement the annual operational plan for the CC program, including a detailed schedule of activities and milestones.
  • Demonstrate to donors how their commitment is empowering the cohort of students they are supporting by delivering compelling and personalized reports and updates.
  • Seek to enhance current processes for improved donor experience.
  • Review and update records in the Raiser’s Edge database to ensure donor records and contributions are properly coded, accurate, and up to date.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years’ experience in a fundraising environment, with exposure to all basic fundraising operations (e.g., proposal creation, stewardship, account management, and/or sales)
  • Experience with securing financial gifts from new partners, and in stewarding existing donors to renew gifts.
  • Understanding of corporate philanthropy and decision-making processes.
  • Adaptive, self-motivated, and enjoys working in complex, creative, and collaborative environments.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and recordkeeping skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) would be a great asset.
