Pathways to Education is a national, charitable organization breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Its award-winning program is creating positive social change by supporting youth living in low-income communities to overcome barriers to education, graduate from high school, and build the foundation for a successful future. Through the collective power of partnerships, Pathways to Education’s innovative program is preparing youth for tomorrow.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO), you will manage a variety of project work to support the strategic growth and transformation of the organization and the continued implementation of the PMO. What You’ll Do

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to cross-functional project teams to deliver agreed upon project benefits within the defined time, cost, scope, and quality restraints.
  • Support the implementation of robust organization-wide project approval, governance, and benefits practices through knowledge sharing, benefits realization planning, and controlled project closure processes.
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to facilitate project buy-in and support and ensure appropriate project communications planning.
  • Support the Director, PMO, in executing a project management learning strategy throughout the Pathways network, sharing your passion for project management.
  • Work creatively and analytically to support continuous organizational improvement, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, excellence, and a solution-oriented mindset.

What You Bring

  • 6-10 years’ experience planning and implementing projects of various sizes and methodologies.
  • Post-secondary education or training in project management; certification in project management is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both English and French.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams with various levels of project management knowledge through project processes, with the proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders from all disciplines without formal authority.
  • Ability to consistently manage projects to successful outcomes, by leading teams, problem solving, managing risk, and budgeting or resourcing responsibilities in a variety of business disciplines.
  • Customer service-focused mindset with the ability to rally stakeholders around a common goal.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and critical-thinking skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous, complex, and dynamic environments to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is an asset.
