Help level the playing field for all youth!

We are fortunate to work alongside more than 1,500 volunteers, many of whom support tutoring and mentoring across the country. Pathways volunteers help to build communities and act as role models for Pathways students, demonstrating the importance of our volunteer work.

Join the dedicated team of Pathways volunteers and you will see how your time contribution will make a difference in the lives of Canada’s youth.

Types of Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals

Tutoring

  • At least one night a week in the evenings after school hours
  • During the school year between September – June, with breaks corresponding to those of the local school board
  • Tutoring secondary students in small groups or one-on-one
  • Tutoring secondary students in one of the core subjects (Math, English, Science, Geography, Social Sciences

Group Mentoring

  • Social/Emotional support to secondary students through participating in inclusive and engaging mentoring group activities
  • One night every other week in the evening after school hours during the school year
  • Work with other mentors in groups of 10-15 students

Types of Volunteer Opportunities at your Workplace
