Because of you—our donors, volunteers, staff, partners, and friends—we’ve been able to assist over 9,000 young people living in low-income communities who have enrolled in the Pathways Program this year. Your steadfast support has made a significant impact on their lives, and we are continually inspired by how they pay it forward.

"One of my favorite memories of Pathways is the routine of going there once a week with my friends. At the beginning, it's all about being productive—everyone is focused, and we're all working hard on our tasks. But as the session goes on, it shifts into something more fun. Working alongside my friends turns into a mini hangout, and we catch up while still getting stuff done. Then, when we realize we need to refocus, it’s like a little reminder to be productive again. The best part is the feeling of being welcomed every time. The atmosphere is so supportive and positive, it almost feels like another place I can call home." –Ramya

"I have really been enjoying my Pathways community and experience. One of my favorite memory so far was when all of the grade 9 had their first in person meeting and it was a great experience, meeting new people in my area and seeing people I already know was very fun and excited since I am an extrovert. "I am really appreciative to all Pathways volunteers for taking the time to instruct, coach, and guide kids to success. One of my fondest Pathways experiences was when I was struggling with geography and stressed out; I asked a Pathways tutor for help, and she did! "How do I even begin to express how fantastic Pathways to Education is? Since the beginning of the program in grade 9, I have been provided numerous opportunities and resources. "As a grade 11 student enrolling into the Pathways program for the first time during 2nd semester of my grade 10 year, I was curious to see what the Pathways program had to offer, and I’m glad that I went through with that decision. The Pathways program has been a transformative experience for me in many ways, as one of the highlights was the chance to meet new people, especially during the lively end-of-year parties where we celebrated our achievements together. Not only that but information sessions and workshops were invaluable as they offered resources that guided me toward post-secondary education and helped me feel prepared for the next chapter of my life. I have fond memories of participating in the Peer Tutoring program in Pathways, where I had the opportunity to help fellow students and develop my skills in the process. Talking to the SPSWs of the Pathways program, especially Ms. Meenaz was another highlight of my Pathways experience, as she always visited my school during lunchtime, and she was always available and approachable, willing to help those in need and made me comfortable seeking advice or assistance. The program also introduced me to exciting opportunities, like a video game design workshop that sparked creativity and brought students together in a fun, collaborative environment. Additionally, the incentives provided by Pathways were a tremendous help, alleviating the cost of groceries for my family and allowing us to focus more on my education. "One of my favorite memories from Pathways is when we visited the BCIT campus. That day, I was filled with excitement as we explored what I thought might be my future campus. Seeing the countless stands and freebies was cool, especially the robotics and aviation displays. The highlight for me was visiting the aviation area, where I got to see a part of a plane cabin and an aircraft engine up close. Walking through the halls, I could picture myself studying there one day. Even though I later changed my school and career plans, that field trip still stands out as memorable." –Zaib

"One of my favorite memories from Pathways is attending a gaming workshop at Humber College last year. It was an incredible experience. Growing up, I played video games frequently with my older brother, but as we got older, we didn't have much time to play together anymore. On the day of the workshop, my brother and I were both excited. I managed to beat him a few times, though he won some matches as well. Overall, it was a fantastic day, and I had so much fun reconnecting with my brother through something we both enjoyed, thanks to Pathways. This experience was especially memorable because it involved a small group of students, allowing us to connect with Dixie personally. The event was organized through Big Brothers Big Sisters, which was a rewarding experience. I’ll always remember that day for its positivity, fun, support, and love. If I could say one thing to Pathways supporters, it would definitely be to take up any given opportunity with a positive attitude because you will never know how rewarding it can be. "Qu’est-ce que Passeport représente pour moi? Pour moi, Passeport pour ma réussite est un endroit qui aide les jeunes pour leurs devoirs. Personnellement, je n’ai pas vraiment de devoirs, mais quand j’ai des devoirs, ils m’aident! Sinon on peut participer à vraiment plein d’activités comme cuisine, sport, art et culture, etc. On peut même peut-être faire un voyage. "Passeport pour réussite m'accompagne depuis le tout début de mon secondaire, et grâce à ce programme, j'ai pu explorer plusieurs activités! Ce qui m'a le plus marqué, c'est notre visite sur un plateau de tournage - une expérience incroyable! L'an dernier, j'ai pu participer à un voyage avec eux, et même ma petite soeur était du voyage, ce qui nous a beaucoup rapprochés. Nous avons planifié le voyage, fait différentes campagnes de financement et préparé les étapes du voyage durant près de 6 mois. Nous avons donc visité le Saguenay, Tadoussac et la ville de Québec durant ce magnifique voyage! C'est sans aucun doute ma plus belle expérience!
